Simplicity is Bliss

Written by , Posted in Style, Vintage

Simplicity is Bliss vintage is one of my favourite Etsy-shops. It’s filled with carefully selected garments, usually in excellent condition and with loads of character. These are my favourites of the items available right now: (not including the three dresses I just got for myself. ;)

Goooooood, I love this cape!

Can you say steampunk?

One last one

Written by , Posted in Life, Travel

I just imported the last few images from our SF-trip, and remembered that I was suppose to post them here ages ago. So without further ado: our last day in San Francisco, in pictures:

It was 4th of July, and we spent it at Rick and Nicki’s new place with, let’s call it, a traditional 4th of July barbeque:

Me thinking: “I could live here…”

The house. Built in 1929. I would have its baby, if such a thing was physically possible.

Oh, and the garden.. what can I tell you. So goddamn beautiful.

We had such an amazing time! Rick and Nicki are the sweetest people in the world, and the other guest were a collection of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect last evening.

We had one last stop on our journey before departure – the morning of our return flight we went to Pixar Animation Studios. I’m a huge Pixar fan and went all fan-girly as soon as we stepped onto the property.

They can make anything at Pixar, except Ø’s.

A very excited Torunn with a very patient Inigo, who took us on a tour of the studio, before lunch at Cafe Luxo, the in-house eatery. Thanks a lot, Inigo, darling!

Of all the pictures from our trip, this is the one that excites Maja the most. I wonder why. :)

Stem the Flow

Written by , Posted in Style

I have such a weakness for Gail Sorronda, and the new collection – Stem the Flow – does not disappoint. Though I’m not wild about the styling of these pictures, if you look at each item of clothing seperately I think they’re quite glorious.

I want that necklace, btw.

Love affair with Nicoletta Ceccoli

Written by , Posted in Art

I’ve had an ongoing love affair with Nicolette Ceccoli ever since Husband bought me a laptop cover of her design a few years ago. Her style is certainly reminiscent of Mark Ryden and Marion Peck, but I think her work is lighter and filled with more fantasy and whimsy, if that makes sense. Of the three I think I actually prefer Nicoletta. Take a look:

Speaking of Roaring..

Written by , Posted in Lingerie

Have you seen the new collection from La Perla called Roaring? It’s inspired by the 20s (obviously.) and it’s just brilliant:

See the entire collection here.

Roaring

Written by , Posted in Vintage

I’m in such a 20s mood these days.. All I want to do is wear velvet and beaded lace, drink nice cool drinks and go to late-summer parties, when I’m in fact working all-nighters, it’s raining non-stop and I haven’t tasted a drop of alchohol in weeks. :( Anyways, if was going to loads of late-summer parties, I would be wearing this:
